The CSB-SCB podcast is owned and operated by the Canadian Society for Biomechanics. Student Representatives, Jackie Zehr and Franziska Onasch, interview experts (academics, industry professionals, practitioners) about the science and practice of biomechanics. Interdisciplinary topics are discussed with a particular focus on research, technology, evidence-based practice, and knowledge translation in the field of biomechanics. New episodes are released on the first Monday of each month. Dr. Heidi Ploeg, Associate Professor at Queen's University, discusses her research on the mechanical and biochemical testing of live bone tissue for the prevention of total joint replacement and/or hip fracture.
